Aura sur le square
The AURA SUR LE SQUARE (Phase 1) project is LEED Gold certified. Montclair prides itself on minimizing its environmental footprint by partnering and creating LEED projects. The principles of Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design, or LEED®, are the international symbol of sustainability excellence and leadership in green building. LEED’s proven, holistic approach enables virtually any building type to reduce carbon emissions, conserve resources and reduce operating costs by prioritizing sustainable practices. Canada ranks among the top countries in the world for LEED certification.
Buildings are responsible for nearly 30% of all greenhouse gases, 35% of landfill waste and some 70% of municipal water consumption.
LEED works well because it recognizes that sustainability should be part of the design, construction and operation of all buildings. LEED allows us to create resilient, high-performance buildings that reduce carbon emissions, save water, conserve energy and reduce waste. LEED also helps improve people’s quality of life by providing optimal conditions for health, comfort and productivity – like better air quality and access to natural light.

A home designed by Montclair, a safe bet.
The AURA SUR LE SQUARE project also minimizes the carbon footprint of our residents. Indeed, proximity to public transportation is one of the main factors that contributes to the reduction of carbon emissions.

The project is located just 300 meters from the REM (Réseau Électrique Métropolitain) Bois-Franc station, which will be in service by fall 2025. Several bus lines run through the borough and the area where the project is located. The Grand Projet Bois-Franc also benefits from its own bus line, the 70 Bois-Franc.

This one drops off its passengers at the Côte-Vertu station and crisscrosses the project almost entirely. The Côte-Vertu and Henri-Bourassa metro stations are reachable by a bus route and there is potential for a new metro station, called Bois-Franc, at the corner of Henri-Bourassa and Marcel-Laurin boulevards. A promising future for public transportation!
